We’ve recently implemented Captcha codes in 7ajidude, as a way to reduce Spam Comments even further, as you know every spam comment is recorded in your database until you delete it, and every spam comment sent to you, even if blocked by tool like Akismet will still require resources from the database and CPU as every comment is checked and then an access to the database is made to either go to the moderation queue or the spam queue. We’ve been trying to optimize our databases and reduce the amount of accesses to our database as well as lower the overall CPU usage. Therefore tell us, is this change annoying you ?

Will my computer support Mac OS X Mountain Lion ?
http://youtu.be/j5BRsh8Dwgg
With over 200 new features, for 19.99 USD you’ll be able to download the latest OS X by apple from the apple Mac Store, supposedly you’ll be able to do that sometime in the afternoon. However, here are the minimum requirements to see if your computer will be able to run OS X Mountain line or if its time for a new Mac (not that I love macs :P)
“Your Mac must be one of the following models:
- iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
- MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
- MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
- MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
- Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
- Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
- Xserve (Early 2009)”
Therefore its safe to say if your model is after Mid 2007, whatever it is it should work with the new OS X. For more update instructions please visit here
Sweets that made me cheat ‘3a9b!
I’ve been on a diet for nearly 2 months now, and have no eaten a single cheat meal or snuck anything between the meals and thank God i’ve done well and only have a couple of more kilos to achieve my target weight. However ramadan and fe6oor and s7oor and all the deserts after fe6our make it very very hard to stay on your diet without cheating :S thanks to my sister’s desert:
Yesterday I cheated – It was worth every bite 😛 I present to you the irresistible “Khamah Cake” – Iranian desert enhanced by Mr. Baker with an addition of white chocolate and chocolate sauce and made into one delicious masterpiece . Very Very Highly recommended!!!!!
We’re In!
After A long night of shifting characters, WE’re IN! Dreamhost – Our new host hopefully for years to come! Sorry about the little glitch this morning just a couple of tweaks that had to be made for everything to work perfectly. We thank all of you for your patience and we wish you all have a nice day :D.
Dreamhost.com – Last Destination?

We’ve Decided to try out DreamHost, after all the drama and technical problems that were happening to us lately we decided to give DreamHost a try. I asked them about our traffic and they said everything should be fine, even in the shared hosting! So far it was recommended by our friends Jacqui and Marzouk. So we’ll see how it goes and let you know. The DNS propogation should take place sometime in these 12 – 24 hours, this time it’s planned and we shouldn’t be offline at all, its a simple with 2 servers still active. Wish us luck!
Mubarak 3alaikoum il Shahar
I know its overdue, but you know what happened yesterday 😀

We’re Back!

First, we are sorry about yesterday!
What happened was that our old host disabled our site for high usage! When they enabled it they didn’t give me enough time to configure it again so what happened then is that they disabled access to the website!
This meant I had to migrate the website fully to a new dedicated server (which needs 3 days to setup) and so I migrated the site to a VPS (virtual private server) where usage should not be an issue. The only thing is i tried to purchase a plan from my old host, which simply took forever to migrate and I was back and forth with them for over 12 hours and when I received a completion email stating migration is done, I checked and the site was not there!!! So I bought a VPS from another host and migrated completely manually. I was done at 3 AM but it took time for the DNS to resolve to the host and direct you to our 7ajidude.com Website instead of the older host.
Again we are Sorry! It was totally unplanned and unfair from our old host. But you have to do what you have to do. Inshallah we’ll make it up to you in the upcoming posts!
7ajidude @ The Scientific Center Part 2
In this second part we’ll walk around the updated Discovery Place the adevnture zone, a great place for younger kids to learn about the human body and interaction with computers equipped with sensors. Nearly all of the games require movement, so its good for health as well!
We start off with the pulse adventure machine which simulates the movement of blood vessels around the body, they move when you move and stop when you stop by measuring your heart beats.
Then we move on to the “circus game” where you have to catch falling fruits from the monkeys above hehe. Involves a lot of movement and can take 2 players.
Then theres the line, where you have to walk from one side to another with the view from the carpet below as if you’re moving from one skyscraper to another.
This section is what i liked the most. It illustrated electricity, magnetism and motors in a fun way:
The first example is the flying ring, which illustrates the properties of magnets.
The second example is an electricity Tree, which also has a couple of examples.
Are you a good goalie?
This camera will follow your movement in trying to stop these penalty shots.
The next was quite intersting, where you use air guns to move the balls in the court.
A game of precision throwing, where you try to throw bean balls within specific goals.
That’s the end of our tour for Today. The scientific center is a great area to take your kids, especially to have them do something different in the weekend, they will definately learn something new.
7ajidude @ the Scientific Center Part 1
A couple of weeks back we were given a tour of the Scientific Center when we were invited to watch the Documentary “Space Junk”, the last time I went to the aquarium was in 2002, quite a long time back. Unfortunately for me i felt like the aquarium is still the same, there were no additions to it or expansions, this was due to the unfortunate lack of funding the Center is facing. Although The Scientific Center’s aquarium was the first in the region, the sad fact is like everything else in Kuwait, We were only first more than 10 years ago and now its outdated and very small compared to whats’ in Dubai (The Dubai Mall’s Aquarium).
I’ll leave you with some of the photo’s i’ve taken:
