The latest Item in my wishlist! The GoPro Hero 3 Black Series.

To see what this can do check out the video at GoPro.com’s main site. It was filmed entirely using the gopro Hero 3!

As you can see the white edition the the same specs as the older generation (Hero), the silver edition is basically the HD2 and the black edition is the updated latest version. I’ll do some more research on them and put another post as more information is available. The Hero3 was only avaiable on the GoPro website and I couldn’t get it on amazon! This would make the ultimate birthday gift (*hint hint) :P.

H2S Gas Leak in Kuwait!

Today, there was an H2S gas leak in Roudtain Oil Refinery reaching areas so far as the south of Kuwait. So far officials say the levels are safe and we’re constantly watching the news and listening to official channels. Again like any other incidents in Kuwait, stuff being shared on twitter shouldn’t be re tweeted unless 100% verified.

H2S gas is heavier than air, and has a very pungent smell (rotten eggs). High levels of this gas are very dangerous however officials are only stating that levels are very minimal and did not reach dangerous levels. Also the gas was contained and no injuries were reported from the KOC.

I’ll try to keep you posted with the news and updates regarding the H2S gas leak in Kuwait.

We were invited to come and cover the Classic Car Gathering which was hosted by the Kuwait Classic Car Museum. There we had a chance to see many of the classic cars, the Kuwait Riders, Mustangs and Corvette Group!

Dude at the New Puma Store!

Last week we were invited to come take a look at the new Puma store at AlHamra Luxury Center and had a chance to try out and design our own Pumas!

Here are a few shots of the store:

After walking around the store and having a look at their items, we were given a shot at the Creative factory !

Here we were given a selection of material, an iPad with the Puma Design Factory App and started producing our masterpieces.

UPDATE::

The first flight attempt was aborted due to strong wind conditions and will be attempted again. We’re still waiting for an official update.

A Passion for Chocolate and Tasteful DPs (Display Photos)

Starting out in 2007 with only 139 KD, a passion for chocolate and a BlackBerry handset, Rakan AlFadhala and three of his cousins attempted to turn their homemade molten cakes into a business.

How did they get word out on their molten cakes, well, BBM was mainstream, everyone had a Blackberry and at least 100 Contacts. Here’s what Rakan had to say about using BBM in their Business:

“Let’s face it, we’re all hooked on BBM and we had already been contacting friends and family via BBM to keep them updated on our new business. We started by changing our BBM display pictures to photos of our signature molten cakes, and our status to our slogan, ‘when deliciousness speaks chocolate’. Our contacts then started sharing our messages and pin with others.  BBM was free and all we could afford,”

Thats not all…

For Chocolateness, competitions help drive awareness about products and increases footfalls at the store. “We simply blast out a series of questions to our contacts and whoever is the first to answer correctly would win a dozen of our signature chocolate molten cakes delivered right to their doorstep. The response over BBM has been astounding!”

The Chocolateness team started off with approximately 1000 contacts. Two years later, they now have over 12,000 customers registered for their home delivery service.
