Last week I had a chance to visit Barcelona for the Mobile World Congress that takes place once a year, this year and last year it took place in the Fira Gran Via in Barcelona.
The Fira Gran Via was Huge! One of the biggest Exhibition halls I’ve been in ! it comprises of more than 8 different halls, and has a very nice and unique structure. The building was designed by the Japanese architect Toyo Ito, winner of the Pritzker prize.
Here’s a panorama Shot i’ve taken with the Samsung Note 3, Amazing shot.
I arrived a day early, and it was a Sunday, so all I can do was go for a walk, all the shops were closed, as they have a weekend and they don’t open in the weekend. The following is a photo of the Parc de Pedralbes which is located on the Diagonal.
This is another great shot I took in the Parc de Pedralbes.
Here’s a Panoramic view from my hotel room (The Ray Juan Carlos Hotel) – great view.
Here are a couple of Hotels that are next to the Fira Gran Via, and they are both distinctive in looks and their overall designs.
In the last day of the trip I had a couple of hours to drive around Barcelona, the following photo was taken from a high point next to the Tibadabo Amusement park in Barcelona.
The same area had a huge church up in the mountains.
Then I had a chance to visit La Sagrada Familia where I was able to take a tour with my Tour guide inside the actual church to see it from the inside. It was huge, its actually on of Gaudi’s buildings, he died before he completed it, now they are following his designs to complete what Goudi couldn’t.
Stay tune for the upcoming posts that will discuss what we saw in the exhibition.
