First, we are sorry about yesterday!
What happened was that our old host disabled our site for high usage! When they enabled it they didn’t give me enough time to configure it again so what happened then is that they disabled access to the website!
This meant I had to migrate the website fully to a new dedicated server (which needs 3 days to setup) and so I migrated the site to a VPS (virtual private server) where usage should not be an issue. The only thing is i tried to purchase a plan from my old host, which simply took forever to migrate and I was back and forth with them for over 12 hours and when I received a completion email stating migration is done, I checked and the site was not there!!! So I bought a VPS from another host and migrated completely manually. I was done at 3 AM but it took time for the DNS to resolve to the host and direct you to our 7ajidude.com Website instead of the older host.
Again we are Sorry! It was totally unplanned and unfair from our old host. But you have to do what you have to do. Inshallah we’ll make it up to you in the upcoming posts!

Your new host better not be VPS.net, I migrated to them and had the worse experience ever. Had to get a refund and move on to someone else.

No it used to be site5.com (left them for good) their support isn’t what it used to be, i’ve been using them for 5+ years now but after yesterday i’m migrating all my sites elsewhere. Now i’m using RapidVPS until I setup and test a dedicated servet that I rented from iweb.com .

The only problem is ISPs in Kuwait use DNS caching and 7ajidude.com won’t resolve correctly.
DNS supposed to be ok … u need SLA bro

yeah well usually its 99.9% uptime guaranteed, but they have a shared server CPU usage policy which we exceeded.
The problem with ISP’s in Kuwait is they save cache of the web when you browse it because their slow so they depend on cache to load faster. They should get resolved within 48 hours.

Yeah, that’s why our site appeared down for sometime. :/
Isn’t VPS & VDS costly options, I remember my host once put me in a similar situation where they said that I was using too many images in my website and this exceeds my monthly limit and they suggested that I should go for VPS, but pricing was high so I moved to another host.
WB guys

Its costly but we can’t take being offline not after what we’ve been through yesterday.
Have you checked out Dreamhost? I have been using them for over 11 years now without any issues! They had a few minor issues before but after that none what so ever!
Even when my website was bleeding ram from the shared hosting they still kept it going and added ram! lol
Great job getting it back up!

I have it was Jaqui’s recommendation too. They seem to have solid hosting. But i’ll think twice now before getting shared hosting. We were fine for a year but as you know traffic is increasing and there’s no way to measure CPU usage on shared servers for single accounts. I wish our host was as generous, they didn’t even send a warning ! I was out of the house and I found out that it was down it took a lot of time. + they knew it was blocked and they didn’t report it until i asked why was my site down :/
That really sucks! Those hosts are horrible! Dreamhost has VPS and Dedicated if you would like! They are really good and you don’t have to worry about it! They try to manage if things go a little crazy, then they contact you right away! Which is fantastic!
Well I hope you guys are done with your technical troubles and all is well on 7ajidude.com!
When your down things stop!

I know tell me about it.. We’ve been with them for a year and I have a reseller account with them, and also that didn’t stop them. I’ll be looking into dreamhost, but i’m waiting to get the website optimized first. I’ll give you updates on what happens. Thanks dude!
LOL I was wondering why you didn’t go with Dreamhost. I even have a discount code for the yearly and two year subscription hehe but I guess you needed more hosting than they would provide.
I hope the new hosts are better than the old ones.

I was trying to get something closer to a VPS and instant setup, this was the fastest one to setup a VPS, I also bought a dedicated server but I was waiting till it was built because it had to take 3 days to setup. Unfortunately we are still facing problems and I might just forward this to an expert, as somthign needs optimization we’re still hitting peak CPU usage at night for some reason, there’s a bot, a process or a cron job doing working at night that’s causing spikes and outages. :/ Allah kareem..
whether the option was costly or not … Welcome back guys you were missed .

thanks,, and we’re sorry it was “un-planned” and the outage took too long 🙁 bes el7emdlellah..
Welcome back i was going to mention it to you guys that your site isn’t working bas gilt yimkin bas 3indi ;/
I donno if i am the only one, but i have a 4 MB dsl connection at home and it takes like forever to load your site!
I am just worried that your new VPS might not be as fast as the previous one, in terms of connection speed.
and another thing, you should have argued with your host to give you couple of days more to carry out a proper planned migration!
Anyways,, wish you all the best of luck with more n more hits to fully drain out the new server’s resources (y) ;D
adios…

I’ve tried it in a couple of places and it works fine. This VPS is a temp solution its also giving me a hard time on one of the processes in the background i’m moving to a dedicated server, just need the time.. we’ve still had hick-ups on this VPS maybe you tried in a time that wasn’t so good. Do give us your feedback please..
