There have been a few speculations that apple is planning to implement the USB 3.0 technology in it’s apple product line, USB 3.0 provide transfer rates of up to 10 times faster than its 2.0 predecessor. I don’t really need a Macbook Air, i’ve got my AlienWare with me all the time, its just that for some places i’d rather be carrying a smaller lighter laptop than my m14x Alienware. I’ve tried the USB 3.0 and once you’ve tried it, its verry difficult to get back!
According to MacRoumers, apple have been looking into different suppliers for USB 3.0 as far as the last comment on 3.0, the late Steve Jobs commented that “We don’t see USB 3 taking off at this time. No support from Intel, for example. ” however intel have stated that they will incorporate USB 3.0 as well as thunderbolt technology in their new Ivy Bridge Chipsets in 2012.
C’mon get it in there all ready, and add in a few upgrades to the macbook Air line 😛 (e.g. an Elite version with hdmi out built in instead of buying adapters and having to carry them around and some decent speakers hehe, it doens’t have to be that thin :P)
